Minority Spokesperson on Finance,Dr. Anthony Akoto Osei has
advised President Mahama to re-negotiate the 3 billion dollar CDB loan
since the curr
 ent terms and conditions for the loan is making
disbursement cumbersome.Government has so far received 600 million dollars out of the 3 billion dollars and has so far paid a commitment fee of 54 million dollars. Speaking at a forum in Accra, Dr. Akoto Osei, said the President should intervene in the area of conditions for disbursement of the loan. "The intervention should go in the area of conditions for disbursement of the loan, they are complicated, they are cumbersome, they are intended to delay disbursement and these two factors need to be re-negotiated and I think that it is only at the Presidential intervention that it will work,” Mr. Akoto Osei stated.
