The Ghana Railway Development Authority (GRDA) has placed an order for two units of diesel trains to operate shuttle services on the yet-to-be rehabilitated western railway line. The trains will, however, not arrive in the country until rehabilitation and upgrading of the lines, which have suffered intermittent postponements, is completed. The Chief Executive of Kessben Group of Companies, Mr Kwabena Kesse who is standing trial for money laundering and forgery of documents, has been granted bail. An Accra Circuit Court Thursday morning granted him bail in the sum of GHȻ350 million with four sureties, two to be justified according to Graphic Online court correspondent, Victor Kwawukume. Barack Obama has said it is too soon to send an experimental drug used to treat the deadly Ebola virus to West Africa, as experts meet to decide whether the outbreak warrants declaring a global health emergency. The Minister of Health, Onyebuchi Chukwu, on Wednesday described the Ebola outbreak in the country as a “national emergency’’. A 33-year old Ghanaian federal immigration official, Samuel Nyanteng has been arrested in the US for submitting fraudulent documents and making false statements in order to illegally bring another person into the United States from Ghana. Nyanteng, was taken into custody at about 6 a.m. when detectives executed a search warrant at his Leslie Street home, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office. An imminent shortage of fuel is expected to hit pump stations belonging to Total Petroleum company as their tanker drivers continue an indefinite strike. The Atuabo Gas Processing Plant has finally been completed after the successful hydro-testing of the pipelines from offshore to the facility last Monday. The Head of the Human Security Department of the National Security Council Secretariat, Brig. Gen.
