A Minister of State at the Presidency, Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, has denied a media report suggesting that he is lobbying to partner President John Mahama for the 2016 elections. The New Patriotic Party has decided on August,31 as the date for its special congress. President John Dramani Mahama has scrapped the Ministry of Information and nominated Ekwow Spio Garbrah to join his executive team as part of a re-alignment of his government. The National Council of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is expected to meet on Wednesday to approve the date proposed by the National Executive committee (NEC) of the party for a special congress.
