Fuel Prices increased to 20% today

Starting Monday July 14, 2014, petroleum products fuel prices will be increased by 20% according to latest figures from the National Petroleum Authority (NPA). This will be the third time the NPA has increased fuel prices this year.

The price of petrol (premium) saw the highest increase of 23.08 percent. This means a litre of the commodity, which currently sells at Ghc2.73 per litre, from Monday will sell at Ghc3.36 a litre.

Kerosene saw an increase of 23.75 percent and diesel 22.01 percent.

Diesel currently sells at 268.00 pesewas per litre, but the price at the pumps will be sold at 327.00 pesewas from today.

Premix fuel increased by 25.60 per cent to Ghc1.57 per litre.

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) saw an increase of 15.68 percent, selling now at Ghc3.32 per litre according to the latest NPA figures.
