Starting Monday July 14, 2014, petroleum products fuel prices will be increased by 20% according to latest figures from the National Petroleum Authority (NPA). This will be the third time the NPA has increased fuel prices this year. The price of petrol (premium) saw the highest increase of 23.08 percent. This means a litre of the commodity, which currently sells at Ghc2.73 per litre, from Monday will sell at Ghc3.36 a litre. Kerosene saw an increase of 23.75 percent and diesel 22.01 percent. Sanele Masilela is now nine and his wife, Helen Shabangu, is 62 years old. Yesterday's wedding was held to introduce the groom to the bride's family in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga. Brazil’s football confederation (CBF) will not renew national coach Luiz Felipe Scolari’s contact, local media reported early Monday, just hours after Germany defeated Argentina to win the 2014 World Cup. Decisions on whether a footballer can return to the pitch after a head injury should be taken by an independent doctor, and not the player or coach. There were reports of heavy explosions near the airport in Tripoli At least seven people have been killed and 30 hurt in clashes between rival militias at Libya’s airport near the capital, Tripoli, officials say. The Ghana Refugee Board (GRB) says it has received intelligence report that some Ivorian refugees living in refugee camps in the country are planning mayhem over irregular food rationing. An unidentified man was on Thursday found hanging in a church building at Bukankyi in the Ashanti Region, the police announced. The deceased, believed to be in his mid 30s, was found hanging in the Inspirational Assemblies of God Church. It is believed that he hanged himself at the sacred place during the night where nobody was around to see him. The Lagos State government had claimed the attack was not caused by a bomb The extremist group, Boko Haram, has claimed responsibility for a deadly blast that killed at least two people at a fuel depot in Lagos June 25. The explosion followed an earlier one same day at Emab plaza in Abuja, in which over 20 people were killed.
